Join us this May in Immokalee, Florida for our Mother’s Day Paint & Cafecito Brunch series—a celebration of the love, strength, and creativity of the mothers in our community.

This immersive experience blends art, culture, and connection. Whether you are joining with your mamá, tía, abuela, a mentor, or a friend, prepare for an event of:

🌸 Live music & performances
🌸 Poetry readings and an open mic 
🌸 A curated brunch menu inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Immokalee—featuring Haitian, Guatemalan, and Mexican fusion and traditional dishes
🌸 A painting experience guided by a local artist—each guest receives a canvas, easel, apron, and all supplies needed to create a Mother's Day inspired piece
🌸 A complimentary drink of your choice

To register for the workshop, please review the available event dates and times. Select which one you would like to attend, and scroll down to complete and submit the registration form for yourself and/or your table. Breakfast Waffles & Desserts

Drink Menu

  • Thick Mexican hot chocolate drink made with masa, milk, cinnamon, and piloncillo. Served hot.

  • Warm Guatemalan corn drink made with fresh corn, milk, cinnamon, and sugar. Served hot.

  • Rich Haitian hot chocolate made with dark chocolate, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. Served hot.

  • Chilled drink made with horchata, agua de fresa, and fresh fruit.

  • A chilled blend of mango, papaya, lime juice, and mint.

  • Refreshing chilled tea with passionfruit, hibiscus, lemonade, syrup, and ginger.

Brunch Entrees, Flatbreads & Soups

Antojitos

  • Crispy plantain cups stuffed with fried griot (marinated pork), vegetables, and pikliz, a spicy fermented garnish.

  • Guatemalan tostada platter with shredded grilled chicken, finely shredded beets, carrots, hard boiled eggs, and house-made queso fresco.

  • Mexican street corn on the cob topped with mayo, cheese, chili powder, and lime.

Cancellation Policy & Agreement

During this workshop, participants will be guided by a local community artist to create a mother's day themed painting. This fee covers instruction, a take home easel and canvas, and the temporary use of aprons, art materials, and paint.

After submission, participants will receive an email containing tickets and arrival/parking information. In the case of event cancellation due to inclement weather or extenuating circumstances, a full refund will be issued to participants. 

Changes, cancellations, and fees need to be made and paid in full at least 48 hours to the start of the event. Please indicate that you understand and accept this policy.
